Scouts is the last section within the Group, and follows on from Cubs. The age range is from 10 1/2 up to 14 years of age. This is the most adventurous age range with most of the time spent in the outdoor and adventure zone of the progressive programme.

Scouts enjoy the open air, camping numerous times a year, were they can put to use the skills they learn. They do Patrol camping, making their own camp area, putting up tents, cooking and looking after themselves in the countryside.

This section is also were we start to concentrate on the Air part of Scouting, the Scouts are inspected every 2 years by the RAF. This is to ensure we meet the standard required to be RAF recognised.  Scouts also take to the air whenever possible, the most recent air activity including light air craft and gliding
